Linda K. Heady

October 23, 1962 — May 11, 2008

Linda Kay Heady, 45, of Jonesboro, Arkansas, died Sunday at her home of natural causes.

Born in Kansas City, Missouri, Linda moved to Jonesboro in 1965. She worked several years as a business manager, serving in personnel and procurement management. Linda was an avid photographer and thoroughly enjoyed the North Carolina beaches and deep-sea fishing. She assisted in management at the annual Craighead County and the Northeast Arkansas District Fair and was a member of Forest Home Church of the Nazarene.

Survivors include:

2 Daughters and Sons-in-law: Tiffany and John-Mark Beaver of Oklahoma City, and
Randi and Ty Mitchell of Alexander, Arkansas;

Her parents: Byron “Barney” and Martha Heady of Jonesboro;

2 Sisters: Brenda Vail of Jonesboro, and
Marcia Heady of Ocean Isle Beach, North Carolina;

1 Granddaughter: Maci Lin Mitchell; and

A host of aunts, uncles and cousins.

Funeral services will be held Thursday morning at 10:00 in Emerson Memorial Chapel with Rev. Ken Stallings officiating. Burial will follow in Keller’s Chapel Cemetery.

Active pallbearers include: John-Mark Beaver, Ty Mitchell, Dustin Vail, John Wilson,
Greg Lamb and Steve Lamb.

Honorary Pallbearers include Linda's cousins and affiliates of the Northeast Arkansas District Fair and the Craighead County Fair.

Visitation will be held Wednesday evening, 5-7, at Emerson Memorial Chapel.

For lasting memorials, the family asks that in lieu of flowers, consideration be given to a
Memorial Fund in honor of Linda Heady to Forest Home Church of the Nazarene,
1922 Race Street, Jonesboro, AR 72401, or ARDS (Acute Respiratory Distress Syndrome) Foundation, http://www.ardsil.com/, in the name of Linda Heady.
