Linda Trevathan Hatley Cole, 71, of Jonesboro, AR passed away peacefully at Flo and Phil Hospice, Tuesday, June 2, 2020. She was born to the late Charles G. "Bud" and Margaret Jeanine “Jean” Willett Trevathan.
She was a lifetime resident of Jonesboro, a member of the the Jonesboro Promenaders and Crowley’s Ridge Cloggers. She was a 1967 graduate of Jonesboro High School. She was a retired administrator from ASU. She loved camping at the Spring River and quality time with her family and friends. She was the #1 Atlanta Braves Fan and her greatest pride was being a grandmother.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brother Pat Trevathan.
She married the love of her life James A. Cole January 28, 1984.
Linda is survived by her husband, James A. Cole of the home; Brother: Rusty (Briane) Trevathan Jonesboro, Ar; Children: Jake (Leann) Hatley Sherwood, AR, Gena (Craig) Cole Little Rock, AR, Lisa (Daniel) Hathcoat Jonesboro, AR, Jason (Lorie) Cole Tampa, FL, and Greg Cole - Greenhead, FL; grandchildren, Brandon (Sylvia) Cole, Britney (TJ) Dalton, Brandi (Robbie) Kidd, Amanda Bowers, Bailey Cole, Kyra Hatley, Christian Hatley, Kaleb Hatley, and Cameron Hatley.
She was a cherished Aunt and loved her nieces and nephews beyond words.
She had 6 amazing Great Grandchildren including her two sidekicks Carter Bowers and Mason Cole, along with her beloved Best Friend of 62 years, Linda Ruth Gilbert.
A visitation will be from 5-6:30 pm Friday June 5, 2020 at Emerson Funeral Home. A rosary will follow at 6:30 pm.
A celebration of life service will be at 10 am Saturday, June 6, 2020 at Emerson Funeral Home with Jake Hatley officiating. Burial will follow at Philadelphia Cemetery with active pallbearers being: Tyler Trevathan and Jody Trevathan.

We will be following the CDC and Arkansas Department of Health guidelines. Only 150 people including the family will be allowed in the building at a time. A face mask will be required upon entering the building and social distancing will be enforced.
