Linda C. Burnsed

Linda Carol Jones Burnsed, 60, of Jonesboro, died Wednesday, October 16, 2013 at the Flo & Phil Jones Hospice House.

She was born to George Robert Jones and Lillian Merle Raborn Jones Coulombe. Linda was born in Jonesboro and moved to Miami, Florida at the age of 13 and spent most of her life there until she moved back to Jonesboro in 1995. She worked for Cracker Barrel in Jonesboro.

She was predeceased in death by her father and stepmother, Marie Jones, her mother Lillian and younger brother, Scott Jones.
She is survived by her children, Jennifer Johns of High Springs, Florida, Joseph Burnsed of Jonesboro, her adopted granddaughter, Hailey Merle Burnsed of High Springs and her grandchildren, Lillian Sechrest, Michael Johns, and ZoeyBurnsed. Other survivors include her brother, George R (Bobbie) Jones, Jr, of Jonesboro and two sisters, Sandy (Mark) Maxey of Fresno, Texas, and Nancy Cook of Jonesboro, and several nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at Cornerstone Baptist Church, 1501 N Illinois, Harrisburg, on Sunday at 2:30pm with Rev. Jason Goad officiating. Visitation will follow the service.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that consideration be given to the American Cancer Society in Linda’s name.
