Linda Booker

Linda Booker, 67, a lifelong resident of Jonesboro, passed from this life on Thursday, February 2, 2023, at NEA Baptist Hospital.  She was born in Jonesboro on July 10, 1955, to Dale and Willa Vaughn Gibson. She loved spending time with her family and her grandchildren. Not to say she loved animals, but there was never a stray animal in her neighborhood that ever went hungry.  She made sure she always had food out for any of God’s creatures.  Summertime was her favorite time of year.  She enjoyed working in her yard, mowing, and caring for her flowerbed.  In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her son, Joey McGowen.

Survivors include her daughters, Brandy Jackson and husband, Kenny; Holly Tutolo and husband, Derek; mother, Willa Fay Gibson, all of Jonesboro; brother, Mark Gibson of Beebe, Arkansas; and daughter-in-law, Leeann McGowen of Jonesboro; seven grandchildren, Parker McGowen, Morgan McGowen, Andrew Jackson, Daisy Jackson, Trinity Tutolo, Chance Tutolo, and Lylah Tutolo.

Funeral services will be 6:00 Monday night, February 6, 2023, at Emerson Memorial Chapel with Derrick Followell officiating and Emerson Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.  Burial will be private.  Visitation will be from 5:00 until service time on Monday evening.
