Lillian Stevenson, 96, of Jonesboro passed from this life Saturday, October 22, 2022 at the Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House. She was born to the late John and Laura Taylor in Paragould.
Lillian resided in northeast Arkansas all of her life and was a long-time member of the Washington Ave. Church of Christ. She was a Stanford High School graduate. Lillian enjoyed traveling all around the world. She loved watching game shows, especially Wheel of Fortune and the Lawrence Welk Show. Lillian was an accomplished seamstress and loved to play the piano. She was a full-time homemaker, volunteered at the St. Bernards Auxiliary, and was active with the Disabled American Veterans Auxiliary both locally as well as serving as State Commander.
In addition to her parents, Lillian is preceded in death by her husband of 67 years, Cecil W. Stevenson; sisters, Bernita Ussery and Carolyn Harris; and brothers, Lynn Taylor and Larry Don Taylor.
Lillian is survived by her son, Terry (Connie) Stevenson of Jonesboro; twin daughters, Janice Reid (David Walker) of Jonesboro and Jayne Findley of Las Vegas, NV; sister, Mary Alice Holloway of Michigan; sister-in-law, Vernell Taylor of Bono; five grandchildren, Amy Stevenson, Jeff Reid, Kari Crawford, Jamie Damron, and Jennifer Campbell; and ten great grandchildren.
A visitation will be from 1-2 pm Wednesday, October 26, 2022 at Emerson Funeral Home.
A funeral service will follow at 2 pm Wednesday, October 26, 2022 at Emerson Funeral Home with Richard Akins officiating. Burial will follow at Old Enterprise Cemetery with active pallbearers being: Ron Crawford, Jeff Reid, Danny Reid, Dr. Richard Stevenson, David Walker, and Rick Thomas.
