Lilbern Lee Fortenberry

Lilbern Lee Fortenberry, 81, of Jonesboro, died Thursday evening at his home. He was a retired maintenance worker with Great Southern Coaches. He was a life long resident of Jonesboro and was of the Baptist belief.

He is survived by his sons and daughter-in-law, Larry & Clara Fortenberry, Steve Fortenberry, all of Jonesboro; daughter and son-in-law, Lisa & Curtis Hogue, Bono; 4 grandchildren; 3 step-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Tony Hubert & Lura Broom Fortenberry, 6 brothers, and 4 sisters.

Funeral services will be held on Monday at 2:00 p.m. at Emerson Memorial Chapel with Jimmy Young officiating. Burial will follow at Jonesboro Memorial Park Cemetery with Emerson Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Active pallbearers will be James Foster, Barry Jones, Don Fortenberry, Stan Fortenberry, Jackie Fortenberry, and Curtis Hogue.

Honorary pallbearers will be Gene Jones and Steve Whitley.

Visitation will be held Sunday evening from 5:00 -7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
