Lila Mae Huddleston

Lila Mae Huddleston, 77 of Jonesboro passed from this life Thursday, June 18, 2020 at NEA Baptist Memorial Hospital.  She was the first of 12 children born to the late Donald Ray and Lillian “Shirley” King on July 9, 1942 in Jonesboro, AR.  Lila moved to Central Illinois after graduating from Valley View High School in 1960.  She moved to Houston, TX, shortly after that where she lived for many years before returning to Jonesboro in 2000.  Lila was a faithful member of Oak Grove Baptist Church and also served as president of the Oak Grove Women's Missionary Auxiliary. She loved her church, bowling, spending time with her large family, lunch out at TaMolly’s and baking her famous coconut cream pies.

Lila was preceded in death by her husband Bobby; her parents Donald Ray and Lillian “Shirley” King; sister, Sheila King; brothers, Garry King, Lowell King, Edwin King, Lonnie Ray King and Allen King.

Survivors include her four children, Teresa Harris, Cliff (Chandra) Harris, Ryan (Christy) Harris, and Aaron (Lacey) Harris all of Jonesboro; three brothers, Larry King, David (Pat) King, Wynndel (Vicki) King all of Jonesboro; two sisters, Nora (Phil) Davis of Dallas TX, Darlene (Rip) Harrison of Jonesboro; grandchildren, Jared (Kristin) Hunter, Jerica (Scott) Russell, Tanner Harris, Cameron Harris, Major Harris, Brendan (Melissa) Tate, and Chantel Tate; great grandchildren, Nelson Scott, Noah Scott, Sadie Hunter, Ellie Hunter, and Emmitt Williams.

A visitation will be from 10 to 11:30 am Monday, June 22, 2020 at Emerson Funeral Home.

A private funeral service will follow with Wynndel King officiating.

Because of COVID 19 guidelines, facemasks must be worn while at the visitation.  A maximum of 75 persons will be allowed in the building at any given time.
