Lettie Wilkinson

Lettie Wilkinson, age 71 of Jonesboro, passed from this life Monday, January 20, 2014 at St. Bernard’s Medical Center. Lettie was a lifetime resident of Jonesboro and a member of Walnut Street Baptist Church. She was a retired library clerk for the Jonesboro Public School System. She loved being with her family and friends. Her grandchildren were her pride and joy.

She is preceded in death by her parents, W.L. and Emily Shelton Metcalf; and brother Curtis Summers. Survivors include Harold, her husband of 52 years; daughters, Tonceia Wilkinson of Marion; Debbie (Jim) Brown of Bono; Anna (Michael) Southern of Blytheville; Terri ( Sam) Hollis of Pocahontas; and Johnnie (Dean) Moore of Jonesboro and brother, Elmer (Janice) Metcalf of Jonesboro. Grandchildren, Valerie Brown, Matthew Brown, Tyler Hollis, Hunter Hollis, Emily Southern, Travis Southern, Mason Moore, Connor Moore and Caden Moore.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 PM Thursday, January 23, 2014 at Walnut Street Baptist Church with Curtis Shatley officiating. Burial will follow at Pierce Cemetery with Emerson Funeral Home in charge.

Pallbearers include Scott Daniel, Jack McCann, Bob Sharp, Gary Etter, Rick Thomas, and Scott Baxter.

Visitation will be Wednesday, January 22, 2014 at Emerson Memorial Chapel from 5 – 7 PM.

Family request that memorials be made to Walnut Street Baptist Church.
