Les Allen Dorris

Les Allen Dorris, 51, of Jonesboro passed from this life December 26, 2015 at the Medical Center of South Arkansas in Eldorado, Arkansas. He was born January 5, 1964 in Blytheville to the late John Harvey Dorris and Lottie Johnson. Les lived the majority of his life living in Jonesboro after coming from Blytheville.

He loved going to Hardy, listening to music, and fishing. Most of all, Les enjoyed spending time with his family.

In addition to his parents, Les is preceded in death by his mother and father in law: Nancy and Leroy Green; and brother in law: Ricky Carpenter.

Les is survived by his loving wife Joan of 30 years; son: Zachary Dorris of Jonesboro; daughter: Jessica Dorris (Darro Coleman) of Jonesboro; brother: Jerry (Charlene) Dorris of Steele, MO; one grandson: DeShawn Coleman; several sister and brother in laws: Mary and Kevin Dulaney, Janet and Bob Davis, Linda and Mike Porter, Rebecca Carpenter, Daniel Carpenter, Donna Jones and Wesley James, Bruce and Mona Carpenter, Debbie Green, Bobby Green, and Patrick Kelly; and fifty-one nieces and nephews.

A visitation will be from 1-2 p.m. Wednesday, December 30, 2015 at Emerson Funeral Home.

A funeral service will follow the visitation at 2 p.m. Wednesday, December 30, 2015 at Emerson Funeral Home with Steve Shafer officiating. Burial will follow at Wilson Cemetery and the active pallbearers include: Doug Ohman, Darro Coleman, Durand Gallion, Bobby Davis, Bobby Colburn, Tim Colburn, Michael Porter, and Cedric Key.
