Leotta Mae Furr, 93, of Jonesboro, Arkansas, died Wednesday evening, July 26, 2006, at St. Elizabeth’s Place in Jonesboro.
Born in Dardanelle, Arkansas, Mrs. Furr lived in Dyess and Olive Branch, Mississippi, before moving back to Jonesboro 6 years ago. She was a homemaker and served several years as Dorm Mother in The Commons, State Hall and the Greek Dormitory at Arkansas State University.
Mrs. Furr was a member of the Assembly of God, and was preceded in death by her husband, Burlin James Furr, and by a son-in-law: Archie A. Rider.
Survivors include:
1 Daughter: Leah R. Rider of Jonesboro;
2 Sons and Daughters-in-law: Jim and Judy Furr of Jonesboro, and
Noel and Jeannie Furr of Scottsdale, Arizona;
7 Grandchildren,
10 Great Grandchildren, and
1 Great, Great Grandchild.
Graveside funeral services will be Saturday afternoon at 3:00 at Potter Memorial Cemetery in Lepanto with Rev. Scott Voss officiating.
Visitation will be held Saturday afternoon from 1:00-2:00 at Emerson Funeral Home in Jonesboro.
