Obituary

Leota Viola Bradsher Wren 86, of Jonesboro passed from this life on Monday, November 10, 2025. She was born in Trumann, Arkansas in 1938 to Arthur and Elma Bradsher.

She graduated from Methodist Hospital School of Nursing in Memphis, TN and served as a Certified Operating Room Nurse in the Methodist Health System for almost her entire 40-year nursing career. She was very proud of her service as a Registered Nurse, serving in multiple leadership positions and helping facilitate the development of young nurses through mentorship and education opportunities. She also enjoyed sewing, cooking, and traveling and was an avid pottery and glass collector with her husband James.

She is preceded in death by her husband, James M. Wren, at which time they had been married 56 years; and her sister, Lucille Willis and Brother, Charles Bradsher.

She is survived by her daughter, Donna Harris (Thom); her Granddaughter Brittany Parcel (Jeff); her Step Grandson Max Harris (Renee) and Great Grandchildren Chloe, Garrett, and Baby James Parcel and River and Rowan Harris, all of Texas; and special Nieces Marcie Ramsey and Great Niece Christy, Carleen Sheets, Arlene Smith, Gaylene Hoover and Nephew Alex Bradsher who all have been instrumental in helping Leota navigate daily activities and visits. She remained very close with sister Johnnie Riddle (Dennis) of Memphis, Tennessee, and Brother-in-Law W. A. Wren (Melba) and Sherry Felts (Benton) of Joiner, Arkansas, and Nieces Laura Sims, Russell Wren (Michelle), and Lana Bell (Mark) and a host other relatives and special friends Mary Nutt, Paul and Sheila Harrison, and Reta Daugherty.

She was an active member of Lawson Road Church of Christ. In lieu of flowers, please consider donations to the Lawson Road Church of Christ 879 CR 407, Jonesboro, AR 72404.

Visitation will be held Saturday November 15, 2025 from 1-2 pm at Emerson Funeral Home.

Funeral service will follow the visitation at 2:00 p.m. with Bro. Chandler Francis officiating. Burial will follow at Jonesboro Memorial Park Cemetery.
