Leonard Alvin Lingenfelter

Retired pastor Leonard Alvin Lingenfelter, 81, Jonesboro passed from this life Friday, November 7, 2014 at Craighead nursing center in Jonesboro. Leonard was born October 15, 1933 to the late Luther and Verna Lingenfelter here in Jonesboro. He spent the majority of his life residing in Jonesboro where he was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church. Leonard also served as a Pastor for 40 years.

He is preceded in death by his wife: Mary and his parents.

Leonard is survived by two sons: Dewayne (Nancy) Lingenfelter of Ravenden and Keith (Akuri) Lingenfelter of Jonesboro; one daughter: Debbie (Bill) Coble of Russellville; two brothers: Charlie and Jimmy Lingenfelter of Jonesboro; three sisters: Nadine Henderson, Lorene Clark, and Roberta Scarbrough all of Jonesboro; seven grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.

Service will be at 10 a.m. Monday, November 10, 2014 at Emerson Funeral Home with Pastor Randy Lingenfelter officiating. Burial will follow at Pine Log Cemetery with Emerson Funeral in charge of arrangements. Active pallbearers include Jim Johnson, James C. Gatlin, James G. Gatlin, Sonny Lingenfelter, Eric Coble, and Brian Bennett. Honorary pallbearers will be Millis Griffey, Larry Merrell, and Darryl Sharp.

Visitation will be 9 a.m. Monday, November 10, 2014 at Emerson Funeral Home until the start of the service.
