Leon “Pop” Hudson, 81, of Brookland, Arkansas, passed away Saturday, December 24, 2005, at St Bernards Medical Center in Jonesboro.
Born near Pocahontas, he was a WW II veteran wounded in action while serving his country. After retiring from Time D.C. in St. Louis in 1981, he returned home to Brookland where he spent the remainder of his life.
He was a former co-owner of Crazy Chuck’s Enterprises and vice president of D.Q. Hunting Club in Calamine. His hobbies include hunting, fishing and gardening. Devoted to his family and loyal to his friends, he was always ready to help anyone in need.
He was preceded in death by his former wife, Lucille Hudson, and by one daughter: Rebecca Hudson.
Survivors include:
1 Son: Victor Hudson of Jonesboro;
1 Daughter: Marsha Hudson of the home;
6 Grandchildren, and
2 Great Grandchildren.
Honored to serve as pallbearers are Chuck Foley, Brandon Foley, Jeff Hulsey,
Dewayne (Blue) Pittman, Jack Johnson, and Gary Rose.
Graveside funeral services will Saturday afternoon at 2:00 at Pine Log Cemetery with Emerson Funeral Home of Jonesboro in charge of arrangements.
Visitation will be held Saturday from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at Emerson Funeral Home in Jonesboro.
