Leolia Pearl Davis was born November 9, 1918 to Geneva and Jessie Blakley in West Memphis.
She departed this life peacefully Friday November 12, 2010 at her home surrounded by her four dear daughters.
She dedicated her life to Jehovah as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses on July 26, 1968. She served faithfully until her death; encouraging everyone she met including her dear family.
She worked very hard to care for her ten children.
She was preceded in death by four sons, William, Herman, and Leo Davis, and James Brown.
Survivors include four daughters, Eva Hampton, Josephine Johnson, Betty Johnson, and Christine (Orlester) Manning all of Jonesboro. Surviving our dear mother are also two sons, Theo Davis of Chicago, IL and Freddie (Bennie C) Davis of Davenport, IA. She is also survived by close to 200 grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren, as well as a host of nieces and nephews.
A public memorial service will be held Saturday November 20, 2010 at 2:00 PM at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 5618 Summer Place off Stadium Blvd, with Ricky Hansen officiating.
