Lena Mae Goodrich

Lena Mae Goodrich, 90, of Jonesboro died Tuesday May 18, 2010 at the Ridgecrest Nursing Center.

She was born in Cherry Valley, Arkansas and had lived in Jonesboro for over fifty years. She was a retired clerk for Stone’s Pharmacy and of the Pentecostal belief. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She loved rodeos, professional wrestling, bird watching and the St. Louis Cardinals; especially Albert Pujos. Our momma had a song in her heart and a smile on her face. She never met a stranger and welcomed everyone into her house and heart.

She was preceded in death by her husband; Calvin W. Goodrich; parents, Frank and Dora Baugh Isom; one son, John David Goodrich; one Great Grandson, Nicholas Mize; and one brother, Louie Isom.

She is survived by her sons, Calvin Levon Goodrich, and wife Kay, of Lake Havisu, Arizona, Dewayne Goodrich, and wife, Verna, and Stevie Goodrich, and wife Myra, both of Jonesboro; four daughters; Sue Mitchell, and husband, Roy of Lake Wappapella, Missouri, Betty Hancock, and husband, Gale of St. Louis, Missouri, Sandi Brewer, and husband, Danny, and Kim Goodrich both of Jonesboro; one brother Alvin Isom, and wife Drucella of Neelyville, Missouri; and a special Cousin and best friend, Alma Bouland; 16 Grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, and five great great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 P.M. Saturday May 22, 2010 at Emerson Memorial Chapel with Reverend Robert Gunnels officiating. Burial will follow at Liberty Church of Christ Cemetery with Emerson Funeral Home in charge.

Visitation will be from 12:30 until service time Saturday May 22, at Emerson Funeral Home.

Active pallbearers will be Willis Brewer, Derick Goodrich, Stephen Goodrich, Jackie Mize, Timmy Mize, and Michael Mize.

Honorary pallbearers will be granddaughters, great grandchildren and great - great grandchildren.

Also a special thanks to the Ridgecrest Nursing Center and the CNA's on East Hall and nursing staff for their wonderful love and care for our mother.
