Leman Lesley Rhodes

Leman Lesley Rhodes, 81, of Otwell passed from this life on Tuesday, December 4, 2018, at the Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House. Leman was born in Cash, Arkansas on March 29, 1937, to the late Garland and Alta Midget Rhodes. Leman lived in Jonesboro most of his life, was a member of the Big Creek Baptist Church and a US Navy Veteran. He worked as a mechanic at Brookside from February 1960-Oct 1964, Chrysler from November 1964-September 1968 and then Craighead Electric from October 28, 1968-June 24, 1991.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, James Garland Rhodes, Brother, Jerry Rhodes and a granddaughter, Alta Lemeda Rhodes.

Survivors include his wife of 59 years, Freda Rhodes of the home.

Sons, Lesley Rhodes (Samantha) and John Wayne Rhodes (Angela) all of Otwell.

Brother, Freeman Rhodes of Frankton, Indiana.

Grandchildren, Justin, Lillian, Amelia, and Holly Rhodes.

Great grandchildren, Alex, and Jaxon Rhodes.

Funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 6, 2018, at the Cash Baptist Church with Rev. John Thomas and Isaac Holder officiating. Burial will be in the Gibson Cemetery with Emerson Funeral Home in charge.

Visitation will be held from 5-7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 5, 2018, at Emerson Funeral Home.

Active pallbearers will be Ronnie Holder, Chris Holder, Stanley Holder, Darrell Junior Huskey, Rodney Rhodes, and Mark Rhodes.

Honorary pallbearer will be his nieces and nephews and Daniel Tedford.
