Lee Owens, 83, of Jonesboro, passed from this life on Sunday, April 20, 2025, at the Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House. He had lived in Jonesboro since 2000, moving here to be closer to his son. He was born in Smithtown, Kentucky, on October 26, 1941, to Floyd and Opal Owens. He lived in Marion and worked most of his life in Memphis retiring from Coors in 2006. He loved to go fishing and he enjoyed reading. Photography was a pastime he loved. He served his country in the United State Marine Corps. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Janet Owens Zoeller.
Survivors include his sons, Richard and Kimberly Owens of Jonesboro; Michael Owens and Laura Middleton of Red Bank, Tennessee; brother, Monte Owens of Danville, Kentucky; Kelly Owens of Shelbyville, Kentucky and his loving cat Sophia.
A private burial will be held at the West Tennessee Veterans Cemetery in Memphis, Tennessee at a later time. For lasting memorials, please consider the Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House, 1148 E.
