Lela Marie Jackson, born December 11, 1953, departed this earth on Tuesday, August 23, 2022. Lela was preceded in death by her father, Donald A. Dougan Sr. of Jonesboro, AR. Left to cherish her memory is her son, John Wesley Kennedy and her precious grandchildren, Archer Jameson Kennedy and Nash Joseph Kennedy of Piggott, AR; daughter in law, Natalie Sue Kennedy; her mother, Willene Harding of Marion, AR; Her two sisters, Mary Ann (Jerry) Cagle of Proctor, AR and Donna (Albert) Aguirre of Marion, AR; two brothers, Donald A. Dougan Jr. of Jonesboro, AR and Ronald R. Dougan of Scott, AR; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews.
Friends were always around and she loved them all. She was known for her kind heart and beautiful cakes. Lela was an animal lover and will be missed by her “grand dog” Otter.
A visitation will be Monday from 9-10 am Monday, August 29, 2022 at Emerson Funeral Home.
A funeral service will follow at 10 am Monday, August 29, 2022 at Emerson Funeral Home with Brother Mike Farrah officiating.
Burial will follow at 2 p.m. Monday, August 29, 2022 at Smith’s Chapel Cemetery in Wynne, AR.
