Lee Mote, 75, of Jonesboro passed from this life on Friday, January 3, 2014 at his residence.
Lee was born on January 11, 1938 in Black Oak to the late Virgil and Aurilla Conley Mote. He was a welder, and even after retirement he would work for some of the famers in his community. He loved to play his guitar and make people happy. He was a loving brother that always had a smile on his face.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by one brother Frank Mote; one sister, Virgie Hamilton; and a sister in law, Aline Mote.
He is survived by three brothers, David Mote Sr., Dean and his wife Jane all of Jonesboro, and a brother Gene Mote of Anaheim, CA; four sisters, Lavada Settles of Palm Springs, CA, Charlene Miller of Delhi, Louisiana, Mary Lou Casey of Arizona, and Gloria and her husband Toby Stearman of Sparks, NV; and a nephew, David Mote Jr. and his wife Pam of Jonesboro; and four children.
A memorial service will be 6pm Wednesday evening at the Providence Baptist Church with Pastor David Mote Jr. officiating. Burial will be private.
