Lawson Clayton Morrison

February 28, 1912 — June 30, 2008

Lawson Clayton Morrison 96, of Jonesboro, died Monday morning June 30, 2008 at St. Bernards Medical Center.

He was born in Angora, Arkansas and lived in Jonesboro for six years moving here from the Needham and Bay area. He was a retired farmer and of the Baptist belief

He was preceded in death by his parents Abbie and Corsie Dell Mabrey Morrison, five sisters and three brothers.

Survived by his loving wife; Gladys Morrison of the home.

One son; L.C. Morrison and daughter in-law Leaotta of Prescott, Arizona.

Two daughters; Mary Johnston and Paulette Barker and son in-law John all of Jonesboro.

One brother; Ralph Morrison of Jonesboro.

Four grandchildren; Jason Cottingham, Cliff, Darren and Laura Morrison.

Two great grandchildren; Austin and Jon Thomas Cottingham.

All services will be private with Emerson Funeral Home of Jonesboro in charge of arrangements.

Family requests that lasting memorials be made to the charity of your choice.

The family would also like to express “special thanks” to Dr. Rick Tate, and the caregivers at Craighead County Nursing Center.
