Lawrence Eugene Murphy

Lawrence Eugene Murphy 57, of Lake City, died Thursday June 26, 2008 at N.E.A. Baptist Hospital in Jonesboro.

He was born in St. Louis, Missouri and lived most of his life in Lake City. He was a retired carpenter and a member of First Baptist Church in Lake City.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Hershel and Mary Sue Craft Murphy.

Survived by three daughters, Kimberly Dennis and son-in-law Richard of Jonesburg, Missouri, Malinda Hudson of St. Louis, Missouri and Verna Murphy of Ballwin, Missouri.

Four brothers, Kenneth Murphy of Bono, Dennis Murphy of Lake City, Don Murphy of Pevely, Missouri and Mike Murphy of Imperial, Missouri.

Nine grandchildren and 1 Great Grandchild.

Funeral service will be at 2:00 P.M. Saturday June 28, 2008 at Emerson Memorial Chapel, with Brother Sean Milliken officiating. Burial will be private with Emerson Funeral Home of Jonesboro in charge.

Visitation will be from 12:30 P.M. until service time at Emerson Funeral Home.
