Lavonda Faye Thomas

Lavonda Faye Thomas, 69, of Lake City, passed from this life Friday, September 4, 2020 at her home. She was born July 8, 1951 in Cash River to the late Norman and Eunice Smith.

Lavonda has lived in Craighead county since 1965 and was a member of the Assembly of God Church where she was in the choir. She loved fishing, and doing yard work as well as listening to gospel music.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Ronald, Dennis, and Kevin Smith.

She is survived by her sons, Jeremy (Melissa) Higgins of Brookland, Erich (Brittany) Higgins of Lake City and Bryan Higgins of Marmaduke; brother, Jerry (Betty) Smith of Sturkie; sister, Dona (Ollie) Reeves of Harrisburg and grandchildren; Austin Baker, Shawn Golden and Aaron Golden.
