Lavaughn Barnes

Lavaughn Barnes,82, of Bono departed this life on Friday, November 18, 2022, at his residence. He was born to the late Elmer and Jewel Barnes on May 7, 1940 in Fontaine, AR.

Lavaughn loved working on antique tractors and tinkering with all different motors. He enjoyed fishing and spending time with his family and friends.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by; one daughter, Sherry Devaughn Barnes; two sisters, Patsy Holder, and Rita Barnes.

He is survived by his adoring wife of 59 years, Dorothy Barnes; three sons, Scotty Barnes (RoseAnn), Zachery Barnes (Jordan), Benjamin Barnes (Sam); one daughter, Kandi Wyse (Dewayne); one brother, Jake Barnes (Barbara); one sister, Velma Murphy (Darrell); one grandchild, Brittney Hormann; seven great-grandchildren, Jordan DiBiasi, Bennett Hormann, Cody Barnes, Cayden Barnes, Keira Barnes, Kairi Barnes, Zaiden Barnes, Emerson Hormann; and a lifetime of family and friends.

Friends may visit at Emerson Funeral Home, Sunday, November 20, 2022, beginning at 4:00 p.m. till 6:00 p.m. Funeral Services will be Monday, November 21, 2022, starting at 2:00 p.m. at Emerson Memorial Chapel with Pastor Byron Griffey and Brother Darrell Murphy officiating. Burial will follow at Lorado Cemetery. Active pallbearers will include; Joel Felkins, Keith Perkins, Ray Herring, Jason Murphy, Michael Parrish, and Garrett Barnes. Honorary Pallbearers will include the Bono Tractor Club.
