Larry Doyle Treat, 60, of Jonesboro, died Saturday, June 21, 2014 at St. Bernard’s Medical Center. He had lived in Northeast Arkansas all of his life. Larry was a member of the Laredo Missionary Baptist Church. He loved hunting and the outdoors; spending time with his family; grilling out; western movies, especially John Wayne. He was preceded in death by his wife, Peggy; parents, Doyle and Mary Louise Treat; brother, Donnie Ray Treat; step-son, Scotty Minadeau.
Survivors include his children, Joe Treat (Isis); Michael Treat; Regina Treat all of Jonesboro; Step-children, Lupe Russell (Kim) of Jonesboro; Alisha Russell of Paragould; brothers, Bill Treat, Leon Treat, Terry Treat all of Jonesboro and Bobby Joe Treat of Rector; 14 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 10:00 AM Thursday, June 26, 2014 at Emerson Memorial Chapel with Bryan Exum officiating and Emerson Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Burial will follow at Pine Log Cemetery with Michael Treat, Joe Treat, Lupe Russell, David Farris, Tim Carlile, and Derian Treat serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers are, Daniel Treat, Chris Vankirk, and Timothy Treat. Visitation will be from 5-7 Wednesday at Emerson Funeral Home.
