Larry Dewayne Tilley Sr.

Larry Dewayne Tilley Sr., 79, of Jonesboro passed from this life on Wednesday, May 11, 2022. He was born to the late Charlie and Anna Tilley on August 29, 1942 in Monette. He has always loved gospel music and was known for his bass singing voice. Larry and his wife, Phyllis, formed the Pathway’s Gospel Quartet. He loved to go fishing, hunting, and spending time outside. In addition to his parents, Larry is preceded in death by his daughter, Florence Burns; brothers, Leroy Tilley, Billy Tilley, and Guy Tilley; and sister, Retha Tilley.

Larry is survived by his wife of 45 years, Phyllis Tilley of Jonesboro; son, Larry Tilley Jr; daughters, Tina Perry (Doug) of Paragould, Melissa Cahill (Curtis) of Fort Worth, Texas, and Heather Tilley of LaPort, Texas; sister, Charlene Carol of Memphis. He also leaves behind 11 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, and a host of other family and friends.

A visitation will be held prior to the service from 1-2 p.m. on Saturday.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 14, 2022 at Emerson Funeral Home with Walter Brumley and Shane Klinkerman officiating. Burial will be private.
