Larry Wayne Spears

Larry Wayne Spears, 60, of Jonesboro passed from this life Saturday October 17, 2015 at NEA Baptist Memorial Hospital. He was born February 11, 1955 in Trumann to the late Louis and Elfie Spears. Larry resided in Jonesboro for 55 years after coming from Harrisburg during his early childhood. He was a long time charter member of the Harmony Missionary Baptist Church. Larry was an avid hunter and fisherman who absolutely enjoyed life to the fullest. He loved watching John Wayne movies and was also a great story teller. Larry was so proud of his family and what they truly meant to him. He was a very loving younger brother who was loved by his family and friends and will be missed by all.

In addition to his parents: Louis (Elfie) Spears; Larry is preceded by his youngest sister: Debbie Spears Austin; one brother: L.E. Spears; and grandson: Alden Spears.

Larry is survived by two sons: Chad (Melissa) Spears of Indianapolis, Indiana and Shane Overman of Trumann; one daughter: Chantelle Spears of Indianapolis, Indiana; two sisters: Brenda (Jim) Hillyer and Geraldine (Ray) Gibbs both of Jonesboro; and four grandchildren: Ariel Spears, Ian Spears, Alex Overman, Kylen Haydon, and a host of nieces, nephews, and several friends.

All services will be private.
