Larry David Pagan, 77, of Poughkeepsie, passed away at St. Bernards Medical Center on July 22, 2025. Larry was born in Bay on August 7, 1947, to the late Luther and Naomi Pagan. In addition to his parents, Larry is preceded in death by his brother, Danny Pagan; brother-in-law Hal Onstead; and nephew Michael Pagan.
Larry was born and raised in Bay until his family moved to Poughkeepsie in 1983. After high school, he joined the military and served in the Army for four years. Following his military service, Larry spent most of his time outdoors. He enjoyed working on the farm, fishing, mowing his yard, and gardening. Larry’s love of the outdoors even extended to his interest in sports. He was an avid fan of the St. Louis Cardinals and Arkansas Razorbacks, and he even umpired baseball for a while. He was also fascinated by the weather and could tell you any fact you wanted to know. Larry was a people person and could strike up a conversation with anyone. He was a wonderful man who loved his family.
Larry is survived by his brothers, Jimmy Pagan (Mary) of Poughkeepsie, Johnny Pagan (Sharon) of Bay, and Ricky Pagan (Donna) of Jonesboro; his sister, Patricia Onstead of Bay; his aunt, Ruth Hester of Bay; and a host of nieces, nephews, family, friends, and loved ones.
