Larry Russell Orr

Larry Russell Orr, 78, of Jonesboro passed from this life Wednesday, February 17, 2021 at NEA Baptist Memorial Hospital. He was born January 12, 1943 in Pangburn to Willis Glenn Orr and Dorothy Orr.

Larry has lived in Jonesboro for over 40 years and was a member of Family Fellowship Baptist Church. Larry served our great nation in the United States Air Force until he had to medically retire. He then went on to work for and later retire from the United States Postal Service. He enjoyed golfing, but his greatest joy was spending time with his family, especially his granddaughter and great-grandsons.

Larry is preceded in death by his parents, Willis Glenn Orr and Dorothy Orr Watkins and a brother, Charles Watkins.

He is survived by his loving wife, Lorraine Orr of the home; daughter, Cynthia “Scoots” (Doug) Formon of Jonesboro; sisters, Yvonne (Jimmy) Clay of Ripley, TN, Peggy Orr of Jonesboro and Melba (Kenneth) Griffin of Judsonia; a sister-in-law, Sue Watkins of Bella Vista; a brother-in-law, Elwood Dayton; granddaughter, Lindsay (Mike) Williamson of Jonesboro; great-grandsons, Haiden, Harris and Henry Williamson all of Jonesboro and a host of nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, February 23, 2021 from 11am to 12pm at Family Fellowship Baptist Church in Jonesboro.

Funeral service will follow the visitation at 12 pm with Dr. Ferrel Duffel officiating the service. Burial will follow at Jonesboro Memorial Park Cemetery. Those honored to serve as pallbearers include Doug Formon, Jeff Vernon, Michael Williamson, Roger Herron, Michael Clay and Andy Watkins.
