Larry Martin Johnson

August 22, 1945 — April 20, 2012

Larry Martin Johnson, 66, of Jonesboro died Friday April 20, at St. Bernard’s Medical Center. He was born in Mobile, Alabama and had lived in Jonesboro his lifetime. He was a 1963 graduate of Nettleton High School and a graduate of Arkansas State University where he received his Bachelors degree. He was a member of the Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church and a Disabled Army Veteran. He was an avid student of the Bible, had passion for music and mustangs. But most of all he loved his family dearly.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Riley “Bud” and Vera (Baker) Johnson and twin nieces, Carrie and Patsy Johnson.

Survived by his brothers; Gary Johnson, Jim Johnson and wife (Cynthia Greenwood Johnson) and Jody Johnson all of Jonesboro.
Nephew, Matt Johnson and wife Lauri of Lincoln, Arkansas.
Nieces, Sara ( Johnson)Goldschmidt and husband Michael of Rogers, Arkansas, and Mary Hannah (Johnson) Pulliam and husband Chris of Jonesboro, Arkansas.

In addition, 3 great nephews and 2 great nieces.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 A.M. Friday April 27, at Pleasant Grove Cemetery with Rev. John Soward officiating. Emerson Funeral Home in charge.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations are made in memory of Larry to the Pleasant Grove Cemetery Fund, 2024 Old Greensboro Road, Jonesboro, Arkansas 72401.
