Larry R Hinson

Larry Russell Hinson, 84 of Jonesboro died at his residence Sunday night, October 23, 2022.  He was born June 28, 1938 to the late Carroll and Hazel McDonald Hinson of Jonesboro.  Larry was a truck driver for Yellow Freight.  He enjoyed rodeoing, horses and cattle.  In 2016, Larry was Arkansas Cowboy of the Year. He worked on his farm equipment with the hammer being his favorite tool.  But most of all he loved his family.  Larry is preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Ruby Hinson.

Survivors include; 2 sons, Larry (Tonya) Hinson of Jonesboro, Keith (Penny) Hinson of Vilonia, Arkansas; daughter, Debbie Hall of Jonesboro; brother, Ed Hinson of Pine Bluff; 8 grandchildren, Brandon Hall, Jared Hall, Cheyenne Robertson, Gus Hinson, Rachel Tufu, Luke Hinson and Denver Hinson; 1 great grandchild, Henley Hall.

Visitation will be Wednesday from 5-7 PM, October 26, 2022 at Emerson Funeral Home.

Service will be Thursday, October 27, at 2: 00 PM at Emerson Memorial Chapel with Jared McGrew officiating.  Burial will follow at Pine Log Cemetery.

Honored to serve as pallbearers will be Jared Hall, Brandon Hall, Gus Hinson, Luke Hinson, Denver Hinson, Lyndon Hall, and Bobby Phillips.

Honorary Pallbearer is Brian Beck.
