Larry Goad

February 18, 1944 — June 22, 2017

Larry Arman Goad, 73, of Jonesboro passed from this life Thursday, June 22, 2017 at his home with his wife by his side. He was born to the late Kirt and Juanita Goad February 18, 1944 in Flint, Michigan. Larry has resided a large majority of his life living in Jonesboro where he was also member of Valley View Church of Christ. Larry was an avid hunter and fisherman who enjoyed riding motorcycles and horses with his friends. He was such a good welder and could build anything he set his mind to. He has crafted a boat, campers, grills, and many more projects. There wasn’t anything Larry couldn’t do. Larry retired from Hytrol Conveyer Company Inc. after 32 years of service.

Larry was preceded in death by both of his parents.

Larry is survived by his loving wife Linda of 43 years, of the home, one son: Anthony Shawn Goad of Jonesboro; two daughters: Saundra (Blake) Lamberson of Jonesboro and Tammy (Kenneth) Goza of Bono; one brother: Curtis Dewayne Goad of Oakland , TN; one sister: Darla (Garry) Tate of Jonesboro; grandchildren: Kristen Ring, Demi Ring, Kolby Lamberson, Kolin Lamberson, River McGinnis, and Tyler Goad; and one great grandchild: Braxton Ring.

A visitation will be from 5-8pm Sunday, June 25, 2017 at Emerson Memorial Chapel.

Funeral service will be 2:00 pm Monday, June 26, 2017 at Emerson Memorial Chapel with Jim Gilley officiating. Burial will follow at Pine Log Cemetery with Emerson Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Active pallbearers will include: Robert Ring, Blake Goad, Jason Tate, Jason Arender, Chandler Tate, Scotty Stevens, Jeffrey Stevens, and Jonathan Warren. Honorary pallbearers: Ronnie Wewers, Doyle Speaks, and Stanley Gulley.
