Larry Gene Gipson

Larry Gene Gipson, 79, of Bono passed from this life Saturday, January 21, 2023 at St. Bernards Hospital. He was born June 24, 1943 in Greenfield to the late Paul and Bessie Gipson.

Larry has lived in Northeast Arkansas all of his life and was of the Baptist belief. He enjoyed antique cars and stock car racing when his son was younger.

In addition to his parents, Larry is preceded in death by his brothers, Leon Gipson, Bobby Gipson, Mark Gipson and Jimmy Gipson as well as his “father-in-love”, Jimmy Lawson.

Survivors include his wife, Mona Gipson, of the home; son, Michael Gipson of Ft. Lauderdale, Florida; daughter, Sherry (Jeff) Armstrong of Jonesboro; brothers, Gary (Mary) Gipson and Jerry Lyle (Pat) Gipson; sisters, Betty (Jim) White, Patricia (Charlie) Agee and Karen (Randy) Woodruff; grandchildren, Jacob Armstrong and Malin Armstrong; sister-in-law, Retha Gipson; “mother-in-love”, Florain Lawson as well as many nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held at 11am Tuesday January 24, 2023 at Nettleton Cemetery. Those honored to serve as pallbearers include Jacob Armstrong, Preston Housley, Cameron Housley, Samuel Housley, Jeff Armstrong and Richie Agee.
