Larry Gene "Big Lar" Moore

April 13, 1951 — November 4, 2011

On November 4, 2011 while in St. Bernards Hospital, Larry Gene “Big Lar” Moore gave up his battle with heart disease at 60 years old. He was born and lived in Blytheville until 2004 when he fulfilled his dream and moved to Hardy. He had recently moved to Jonesboro due to his failing health and to be closer to his son.

He leaves behind his wife, Jeannette; son and daughter-in-law, James & Emily Moore, Jonesboro; his adopted daughter, Christy Jo Lumpkins and family of Stanton, Kentucky; granddaughter and grandson, Jasmine Lynea and Dylan Gene Moore of Lake of the Hills, Illinois; his mother, Alline Tippitt, Blytheville; sisters and brothers-in-law, Barbara & Hugh Decker, of Blytheville, Carolyn & Jim Bohannon of Heber Springs; his brother and sister-in-law, Jimmy & Debbie Moore of Ash Flat; and many very special nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, James H. Moore; and his brothers, Donnie & Ricky Moore.

A memorial service will be held Monday, November 7, 2011, at Emerson Memorial Chapel at 7:00 p.m. Burial will be private.
