Larry D. Meins, 64, of Jonesboro, died Thursday at his home of natural causes.
Born in Walnut Ridge, Larry moved to Jonesboro several years ago and lived most of his life here. He was a retired carpenter and a member of Lighthouse Victory Pentecostal Church in Jonesboro. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam War and was preceded in death by his parents: Clyde and Midred Morgan Christopher; by a brother, David Christopher and a sister, Shirley Morgan.
Survivors include one son: Derek Meins of Jonesboro, three daughters: Dusty Meins of Fayetteville and Susan Shelley and Mary Beth Nelson, both of Jonesboro;
1 brother, Garry Christopher (Anita) of Lake City; 2 sisters: Donna Shelby (Charles) of Jonesboro and Judy Willfond of Atkins; and 10 grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Monday morning at 10:00 in Victory Lighthouse Pentecostal Church, 400 Jonathan Street in Jonesboro, with Reverend Jason Stallings officiating. Burial will follow in Lorado Cemetery.
Derek Meins, Tony Greene, Zach Stallings, Cameron Wofford, Joey Spinks, and Mike Noles will serve as pallbearers.
Visitation will be held Sunday evening, 5-7, at Emerson Funeral Home.
