Larry Joe Cain

February 10, 1941 — March 2, 2021

Larry Joe Cain, 80 passed from this life on March 2, 2021 at NEA Baptist Hospital.  He was born February 10, 1941 to Lillian and Bryson Cain in Centerville, Arkansas.  Larry and his parents moved to Jonesboro, Arkansas in 1950, where he resided until his death.

Larry attended Jonesboro High School and Arkansas State University.  He retired from General Electric after thirty years and Med Tech after ten years.  He was a member of the Southwest Church of Christ.

Larry was preceded in death by his parents and is survived by the love of his life, Cheryl Cain for sixty years.  They had two sons Bryan Kieth Cain of Melbourne and Larry Brent Cain of Jonesboro.  He is also survived by six grandchildren, Erica Yancy, Alexis Williams, Hayden Gooch, Cooper Cain, Emma Cain, Ava Cain and two great grandchildren, Kopeland Yancy and Sloane Williams.  A special thank you to Reesa Williams, Laura Blaylock, Tammy Greenstreet and NEA Baptist Staff.

There will be a public graveside service 2:00 pm Thursday, March 4, 2021 at Jonesboro Memorial Park Cemetery with Kent McDaniel officiating. Emerson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.  There is no visitation.

Pallbearers are Nick Neu, Brad McKeel, Brock McKeel, Keith Campbell, Sam Wimpy and Jerry Strickland.

Honorary pallbearers will be Bob McKeel, Freddie Wright, Perry Isbell and Tim Renshaw, Nicki Loven and Larry George.
