Lanell Berry

Lanell C. Berry, 67 of Mt. Pleasant, Arkansas died Thursday, February 21, 2008 at her home. She was a native of the Lake City area where she lived before moving to Mt. Pleasant five years ago. She was a member of the Cornerstone Baptist Church of Mt. Pleasant.

Lanell was active in the women’s group of her church and was a retired school teacher. She was preceded in death by her husband, Marion “Goody” Berry, her parents and one sister.

She is survived by two sons; Mark and Vickie Berry, Bartlett, Tennessee; Matthew and Elizabeth Berry, Jonesboro, Arkansas; two daughters, Marcia and Jerry Richmond; West Memphis, Arkansas; Kristi and Joe Williamson, Piggott, Arkansas; one sister, Ruth and Wes Sales, Jonesboro; thirteen grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Funeral services will be 11:00 AM, Wednesday, February 27, 2008 at Emerson Memorial Chapel with Reverend Elvis Sneathern and Reverend Bud Stahl officiating and burial to follow at Nettleton Cemetery with Emerson Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Pallbearers are W. C. Evans, Ron Pelletier, Wayne Moore, Ray Carmichael, Sonny James and Sonny Lewis. Visitation will be from 5 – 7 Tuesday night at Emerson Funeral Home.
