Kurt William Schuchardt, of Jonesboro, passed away peacefully on August 29, 2026, at the Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House, surrounded by his family.

Kurt was born in St. Louis, Missouri, to Bob and Rose Schuchardt. In 1969, he and his family moved to Jonesboro, Arkansas, which he would proudly call home for the remainder of his life. Jonesboro was where Kurt built his career, raised his family, and made countless memories with the people he loved.

Kurt attended Southern Arkansas University, where he earned an Associate Degree in Engineering. He spent most of his career working in the casting business, dedicating many years of his life to his work. He was a hardworking man who took pride in providing for his family and doing things the right way. Kurt had a love for music and enjoyed spending time outdoors. He had a passion for working on his vehicles, taking care of his yard, and tackling any other project that could occupy his free time. He was a man who enjoyed staying busy and taking pride in the things he worked on.

Above all, Kurt treasured his family. He shared 46 wonderful years of marriage with his wife, Vicki, building a life filled with love, memories, and the many experiences that come with sharing a lifetime together. His greatest pride was his children, Kyle and Kirby, and he cherished the time he spent with them and the family they helped create.

Kurt was preceded in death by his parents, Bob and Rose Schuchardt; his stepmother, Dottie Schuchardt; and his brothers, Gary Schuchardt and Brian Schuchardt.

Those left to cherish his memory include his beloved wife of 46 years, Vicki Schuchardt; his children, Kyle Schuchardt and Kirby (Zack) Pope, both of Jonesboro; and his brother, Chip (Kristine) Schuchardt of Fayetteville.

He is also survived by his nephews, Jordan Schuchardt of Oakland, Tennessee, and Case Schuchardt of Fayetteville, Arkansas; his nieces, Christy (Rob) Schuchardt Frank of Nashville, Tennessee, and Anne Schuchardt of Fayetteville, Arkansas; sisters-in-law, Lin Minor and Lydia Schuchardt; his aunt, Sandy Schuchardt; and his cousins, Craig (Rita) Schuchardt and Clay (Felicia) Schuchardt.

Kurt leaves behind a lifetime of memories that will be treasured by those who knew and loved him. Though his family will deeply miss his presence, they can find comfort in knowing that the love they shared with him will remain a part of them forever.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, September 1, 2026 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Emerson Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, September 2, 2026 at 2:00 p.m. in the Emerson Memorial Chapel. Burial will follow at Jonesboro Memorial Park Cemetery.

Pallbearers will include Jordan Schuchardt, Chris Poe, Chance Grisham, Jared Hays, Craig Escue, and Arthur Wallace Jr. Honorary pallbearers will include Bobby and Val Statton, Arthur Wallace, Fred Hargett, and Case Schuchardt.
