Kimberly Scott, 44, of Jonesboro, Arkansas, departed this life on June 30, 2025, at St. Bernards Medical Center, surrounded by those who loved her. She was born on September 27, 1980, in Pine Bluff, Arkansas, to Anthony and Doris Scott.
Kimberly was of the Baptist faith and was baptized at an early age. She had a deep love for learning and a passion for life. An avid reader and a devoted fan of television, she enjoyed shows ranging from crime dramas and comedies to political commentary—and she never missed Shark Week. She also found joy in cooking, spending quality time with her friends, and cherishing every moment with her family.
Kimberly graduated from Dermott High School in 1998 and went on to earn a bachelor’s degree in Mathematics from Arkansas State University. She later completed a Master’s degree from the University of Phoenix. Professionally, she was a dedicated employee at Kroger, working in the Human Resources Department.
She was preceded in death by her sister, Melissa King; her maternal grandfather, Hal Palmer; and her paternal grandmother, Melissa Scott.
Left to cherish her memory are her beloved children, Xavion Harris and Zaria Harris, both of Jonesboro; her parents, Anthony and Doris Scott of Dermott; her maternal grandmother, Helen Proctor; and her sister, Helen Scott of Jonesboro. She is also survived by a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and a lifetime of dear friends.
Kimberly will be remembered for her intelligence, humor, and unwavering love for her family. Her presence will be deeply missed and her memory will live on in all who knew and loved her.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, August 23, 2025 at 3:00 PM at St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church.
