KEYWANIA GAMEL DABNEY DINET
Earth Angel: Tuesday, January 25, 1977
Heavens Angel: Wednesday, April 18, 2018

Keywania was born in New Orleans, Louisiana, and was baptized in the Name of Jesus at a young age at Home Mission Baptist Church in New Orleans, LA. Keywania was born on her Maternal Grandmother’s birthday whom she affectionately called “Momma”. Keywania graduated Top 10 of her senior class from John McDonogh Sr. High School (1994). She was a member of the Flag Team, Drama Club, and Upward Bound. Keywania met her husband (Steven D. Dinet, Jr.) her senior year in high school. They had three amazing sons from their union: Steven, III.(late), Justin, and Jason Dinet. Keywania went on to pursue her passion to become a Registered Nurse where she attended Delgado School of Nursing and Southern University at New Orleans. While pursuing her Nursing degree, Keywania worked for the City of New Orleans as a Senior Health Educator/Phlebotomist until 2005.

In August 2005, because of the devastation from Hurricane Katrina, Keywania and her family became residents of Jonesboro, Arkansas. Keywania came to love Jonesboro and so did her family. She made the decision to make it her permanent home and all the Mardi Gras, Second-lines, and good Gumbo couldn’t change her mind. She never met a stranger and Jonesboro welcomed her family with open arms. Keywania went back to work as a Phlebotomist/ Lab Technician with St. Bernard Regional Medical Center. She completed nursing classes at Arkansas State University until her health wouldn’t allow.

Keywania leaves to celebrate her life; her husband Steven Jude Dinet, Jr.; Sons: Justin Dinet and Jason Albert Dinet; Stepdaughter: Ashley Dinet; her Mother: Claudette Dabney, Brother: Shawn Dabney, Grandmother/Momma: Emelda Dabney, Goddaughters Mya Lynn Curtis and Brooklyn Wheeley, Godmother/Great Aunt: Rosemary Carmouche and Godfather/Uncle: Wayne Dabney, Sr. Aunts: Rosalind Moczulski (Daniel), Angela Dabney-Marioneaux (Darren), Carol Scott and Janice Allen. Uncles: Reginald Dabney, Sr. (Ruthie), Albert Dabney, Jr. (Cynthia), Noel Dabney, Michael Dabney (Gloria) and Tyrone Dabney. Special cousins: Monique Marioneaux; Tanjal Dabney, Reginald (Scamp) Dabney, Jr, Curtis Dabney and Estacy Woods. Beloved Friends: Toni Keeler, Stephanie Coste, Montrell Banks, Janice Meredith, Jerrie (Pie) Brooks and Kevia Stroder. Keywania also leaves many cousins, aunts, uncles, and friends to cherish her memory.

Keywania is preceded in Heaven by her son, Steven Jude Dinet, III; Father: Charles Allen, Grandfather/Daddy/Pawpaw: Albert Dabney, Sr.; Grandmother: Lorraine Lewis Allen, Mother in Love: Mary (Biggy) Dinet and Uncles: Vincent Dabney and Dwight Dabney, Sr.
