Kevin Don Thorn

Kevin Don Thorn, 54, of Jonesboro passed from this life Thursday, February 16, 2017 at the Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House surrounded by his family. He was born on May 29, 1962 in Leachville, Arkansas to the late Donal and Wanda Thorn.

Kevin spent the vast majority of his life residing in Jonesboro after coming from Leachville. He was an avid hunter and fisher, who also loved wrestling. Kevin’s nieces were his whole world and his cousins were loved like his own sisters.

In addition to his parents, Kevin is preceded in death by one brother: Loy Dale Roark Jr.; grandparents: Mr. and Mrs. W.A. Tatum and Mr. and Mrs. Cola Thorn; and cousin: Gina Northway.


Kevin is survived by his two nieces: Valerie Roark of Jonesboro and Kristy (Anthony) Russell of Jonesboro; one great nephew: Owen Russell of Jonesboro; and a multitude of cousins.

A visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. Saturday, February 18, 2017 at Emerson Funeral Home.

A graveside service will follow at 3 p.m. Saturday, February 18, 2017 at Kennett Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Kennett Missouri. Active pallbearers will include: Barry Kirby, Jerry Don Anderson, Skip Buhrmester, Brad Anderson, Warren Bagley, and Eddie Anderson.
