Kerry Don Murphy, a loving father, brother, and friend, passed away on January 31, 2025, at the age of 68. Born on November 18, 1956, Kerry lived a life filled with love, and laughter. He was preceded in death by his father, Billy Murphy, and mother, Maxine Dant.
Kerry is survived by his brother, Ron Murphy; sister, Patricia Murphy-Bodell; his three children, Aaron Murphy (Melissa) of Jonesboro, Matthew Murphy of Walnut Ridge, and BreAnna Murphy (Aaron) of Jonesboro; their mother, Rebecca Murphy of Jonesboro; his loving grandkids, Maddox Murphy, Baylor Murphy, Skye Murphy, Remi Russell, Ryder Russell, and Ridge Russell, all of Jonesboro; and his faithful furry companion, Macy, who brought him endless joy and comfort.
Kerry proudly served his country in the United States Army. He loved spending time with his children, watching movies, and enjoying his sweet tea. He was especially fond of Hallmark movies and wasn't afraid to admit it! Kerry's love for his family knew no bounds.
In his younger years, Kerry enjoyed sharing his love of the outdoors with his children, taking them on countless hunting trips and creating memories that would last a lifetime. As his children grew older, Kerry's love for them only deepened, and he cherished every moment spent with them.
Kerry was also known for his quick wit and endless supply of dad jokes. He always had a joke at the ready for anyone who would listen, and his family and friends will deeply miss his ability to make them laugh.
