Kerry Lee Johnson, 66, departed this life on March 16, 2024, at his residence in Jonesboro. Kerry was born on November 24, 1957, in Georgia, and his presence in the lives of many will be deeply missed.
Kerry dedicated his life to his craft as a mechanic, serving faithfully at K.E.G. Towing. His commitment and expertise made him a trusted figure in his profession. He approached his work with diligence and passion, leaving a lasting impact on those he worked with.
In his personal life, Kerry cherished the simple joys and pursuits. An avid outdoorsman, he found solace and excitement in hunting and fishing, embracing the beauty of nature. His skilled hands found fulfillment in woodworking, and he delighted in the companionship of his beloved dogs. Kerry also enjoyed the occasional thrill of scratching lottery tickets, finding excitement in life's little surprises.
But perhaps Kerry's most enduring legacy lies in his generous spirit and unwavering loyalty to his friends. Known for his willingness to lend a helping hand, he was always there for those in need, day or night. His friendship was a cherished gift to many, leaving an indelible mark on their hearts.
Kerry is preceded in death by his parents, a sister, a brother-in-law, and his special friend, Phyllis Melton. He leaves behind a legacy of love and kindness that will be carried on by those who knew him best. Survived by his brother at heart and close friend, Paul Blasingame, as well as his special friend, Brenda Joyner, Kerry leaves behind a lifetime of cherished friendships.
