Kenny Throgmartin

October 22, 1952 — May 7, 2020

Kenny Throgmartin, 67, of Lake City, died Thursday, May 7, 2020, at the Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House.  He had lived in Lake City for the past seven years, moving there from Jonesboro.  Kenny proudly served his Country as a member of the US Army 101 st Airborne Division.  He had a successful career and retired from Marck Recycling.  Kenny’s love for sports allowed him to excel in any sport.  He played football for Arkansas State University.  As a softball player, he was always competitive and that made him a threat from any position.  He loved spending time working out and with his grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by his son, Chris Mitchell and his parents.

Survivors include his wife of 30 years, Sheila Throgmartin, of the home; daughters, Kendra Winston (Jarrett) of Jonesboro; Kenley Throgmartin (Micah Reeves) of Little Rock; Amber Throgmartin of Benton; brother, Danny Throgmartin of Jonesboro; sisters, Diane Throgmartin of Hardy; Cathy Vuncannon of Jonesboro; grandchildren, Natalie Mitchell of the home; Gabe, Zoey, Kennedy, Cody, Micaela, Mallory, Ethan, Madison, Sarah Beth; and several nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be 1:00 PM. Monday, May 11, 2020 at Pine Hill Cemetery with Brad Robinson officiating and Emerson Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.  Pallbearers will be Freddie Kirksey and other friends and family.  All other services will be private.
