Kenny E. Slater

Kenny E. Slater, 60, of Brookland, died Sunday, April 30, 2017 at NEA Hospital. He had lived in the Jonesboro area most of his life. He was a member of the Cross Road Church. Kenny received numerous sales awards. He was an audio enthusiast and loved tinkering with computers. He enjoyed fishing, and spending time with his family. Kenny was very much a people person and never met a stranger. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Danny Slater.

Survivors include his wife of 39 years, Reeca Slater, of the home; sons, Zach Slater of Brookland; Kenny H. Slater of Paragould; daughter, Haylie Weese (Zachary) of Brookland; brothers, Michael Slater of Jonesboro; Pete Slater of Memphis; John Slater of Melbourne and Grandson Dawson McHaffey.

A memorial service will be 2:00 PM, Thursday, May 4, 2017 at Emerson Memorial Chapel with Mike Archer officiating and Emerson Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Visitation will be from 1:00 until service time on Thursday. Burial will be private.
