Kenneth Keith Yarbrough

April 12, 1927 — December 9, 2008

Kenneth Keith Yarbrough, 81, of Jonesboro passed away Tuesday morning December 9, at his home.

He was born in Jonesboro and had lived in Jonesboro for twenty five years, moving here from Trumann. He was the owner/operator of Melody Nursing Home in Trumann, a division controller for the Singer Plant in Trumann, Member of the Trumann Lions Club, Trumann Chamber of Commerce, Trumann School Board, Board of Director at the Bank of Trumann, member of the school board and the Arkansas Nursing Home Association. He was a WWII Navy veteran and a member of the First Baptist Church in Jonesboro.

Survived by his loving wife of twenty five years, Mary Yarbrough of the home.

One son, Keith Yarbrough of Dalton, Georgia. One step-son, Richard Freeman Adams Jr. of Memphis, Tennessee. One daughter, Gail Worf of Woodenville, Washington. One step-daughter, Jan Adams Nguyen of Jonesboro. Two sisters, Nancy Young of Jonesboro and Nina Whitlatch of Trumann.

Four grandchildren and three step grandchildren.

Funeral service will be 2:00 P.M. Sunday, December 14, at Emerson Memorial Chapel, with Dr. Bruce Tippit officiating. Burial will be at Jonesboro Memorial Park Cemetery with Emerson Funeral Home in charge.

Active pallbearers will be Sid Banks, Richard Adams, Skip Smith, Kathy Millsap, Richard “Tiger” Adams, Seth Yarbrough and Corey Yarbrough.

Honorary pallbearers will be Meriweather Adams, Patrick Worf, Nathan Worf, and George Allen.

Visitation will be from 5-7 P.M. Saturday, December 13, at Emerson Funeral Home.

Family requests that lasting memorials be made to the First Baptist Church Celebrate Recovery, 701 S. Main Street Jonesboro, Arkansas 72401.
