Kenneth Henry Ashabranner, 79, of Jonesboro, died Saturday morning at his home of natural causes.
Born in Manila, Kenneth lived several years in Michigan where he worked for Chrysler Motors. He moved back to Manila and lived there before moving to Jonesboro 12 years ago.
Kenneth was a member of Calvary United Pentecostal Church and enjoyed fishing and sports especially the St. Louis baseball Cardinals. Kenneth was a U.S. Navy veteran of the Korean War and was preceded in death by his parents, Herman and Lillian Powers Ashabranner.
Survivors include his wife, Venita McClendon Ashabranner of the home;
1 brother, Chester Ashabranner of Manila,
2 daughters, Donna (Ja) Carson of Jonesboro and Venisa Jones of Manila;
3 grandchildren, Brandi Coker, Jacklyn Lisk and Hunter Carson, all of Jonesboro, and
2 great grandchildren, Wesley Lisk and Aidan Mizell, both of Jonesboro.
Funeral services will be held Monday morning at 11:00 in Emerson Memorial Chapel with Rev. Darrell Runyan officiating. Burial will follow in Pine Log Cemetery.
Pallbearers include Bryan Heard, Terry Heard, Tim Chatman, Ja Carson, Jamie Lisk, and Leon Hurst.
Visitation will be held Monday morning, from 10:00-11:00 in the chapel.
