Kenneth E. Caldwell, 80, of Lake City, died Thursday at his home after a following a brief struggle with cancer.
Born in Caraway, Kenneth lived most of his life in Lake City. He was a retired farmer and was of the Baptist belief. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of the Korean War, a member of the Veteran of Foreign Wars and the Cadillac Club.
Kenneth was preceded in death by his parents: Arthur and Truie Qualls Caldwell, and by a brother, Don Caldwell.
Survivors include his wife, Joan Caldwell of the home;
4 daughters: Linda Hunt of Conway, Romona Duncan of Charlotte, North Carolina, Kathy McKinney of Paragould, and Karinda Caldwell of Lake City;
1 brother, Leo Caldwell of Lake City;
2 sisters: Juanita (Short) Hickman of Black Oak, and Verneil Allen of Adair, Oklahoma;
9 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, and many other family members and friends.
Active pallbearers include Chris Cambron, Marc Duncan, Bradley Hunt, Bo Harmon, Jon Milligan, and Del Valdez.
Graveside funeral services with military honors will be held Saturday afternoon at 2:00 in Jonesboro Memorial Park with Rev. Larry Ward officiating, with Emerson Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
There will be no visitation.
