Obituary

Kendall R. Winford, 75, of Jonesboro, passed away on March 24, 2026, at Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House. Kendall was born in Jonesboro on November 27, 1950, to the late James and Lucy Winford.

Kendall was raised in Northeast Arkansas, growing up in Lake City. After graduating from high school in 1969, he was drafted into the Vietnam War. Kendall served in the infantry until his return to the States in 1971. Two weeks after he returned, Kendall married the love of his life, Belinda Winford. He went on to spend 21 years in the military. Kendall served in the infantry, as an MP, and finally as a recruiter. The military took Kendall and his wife all over America, from Kentucky to Hawaii, Colorado, Nebraska, and eventually back home to Arkansas, stationed in Walnut Ridge. In 1990, Kendall retired from the military, but by 1998, he had started his own company, All American Pest Control. He served his community for many years before retiring in 2020 and passing the business to the next generation, his son, Lance. Kendall was a member of Family Fellowship Baptist Church and helped establish the first security team to keep the facility safe. He was an avid gardener, especially loving orchids. The only thing that ever kept him from his garden was snow on the ground. Most importantly, Kendall loved being with his family.

Kendall is survived by his wife of 55 years, Belinda Winford; his son, Lance Winford (Amber); his daughter, Canaan Winford; his sister, JoAnn Neeley (Wayne); and his grandchildren, Leah, Hayden, and Mason.
