Kelsey Hall

May 10, 1957 — June 30, 2007

Kelsey Hall, age 50, of Jonesboro, died Saturday morning at his home of natural causes.

A native and life-long resident of Jonesboro, Kelsey was a farmer.

Kelsey was a member of First Baptist Church and the Craighead County Farm Bureau. Kelsey’s family was named the 1993 Craighead County Farm Family of the Year and he the 2006 Jonesboro Chamber of Commerce Farmer of the Year. He was a member of the Beech Creek Deer Club at Jersey, Arkansas, was a former board member of the Craighead County Co-Op and the Community Leadership Board of Mercantile Bank.

Kelsey was a 1975 graduate of Valley View High School, and was preceded in death by his father, Melvin Hall.

Survivors include:

His Wife: Stacy Hall of the home;

1 Daughter: Evan Hall of the home;

1 Son: Sam Hall of the home;

His Mother: Ollie Ann Hall of Jonesboro;

1 Sister and her husband: Melanie and Steve Bracy of Jonesboro;

1 Brother-in-law and his wife: Doug and Kay Gilmore of Jonesboro;

3 Nephews: Anthony Bracy, Logan Gilmore and Noland Gilmore, all of Jonesboro; and

2 Nieces: Stephanie Bracy of Little Rock and Alana Gilmore of Jonesboro;

A celebration of Kelsey’s life will be held Monday morning, July 2, 2007, at 10:00 in Emerson Memorial Chapel with Dr. Bruce Tippit officiating. Burial will follow in McDaniel Cemetery.

Active pallbearers include: Mike Medlock, Rick Coleman, Ken Yarborough, Mark Haggenmacher, Jim Tubbs, Fred Cathcart, Toby Emerson, Kelly Pope and Randy Woodard.

Honorary pallbearers include: Danny Thomas, Donnie Workman, Freddy Ford, past and present members of the RidgePointe Mens 3.0 Tennis Team, and members of the Beech Creek Hunting Club.

Visitation will be held Sunday evening, 5-8, at Emerson Memorial Chapel.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that consideration be given to the Kelsey Hall Excellence in Agriculture Memorial Scholarship Fund at Arkansas State University, c/o Regions Bank, Attn. Jim Tubbs, 2400 E. Highland, Jonesboro, AR 72401.
