Kelly Dwayne Payton

Kelly Dewayne Payton, 45, of Jonesboro passed from this life on Thursday, April 28, 2022 at NEA Memorial Baptist Hospital. He was born to Donna Payton on April 30, 1976 in Jonesboro. He was a member of Prospect Baptist Church and graduated from Green County Tech in 1994. Kelly received his Degree in Business from Arkansas State University in 1999. He enjoyed playing video games and watching sporting events. Kelly was an avid Green Bay Packers Fan and St. Louis Cardinal Fan. He is preceded in death by his brother, Shawn Mahan; and grandparents, Wayne & Helen Payton, Dub & Glenda Mahan, and Joyce Lackey.

Kelly is survived by his son Kaden Payton of Paragould and Kaden’s sister, Anabrea Mireles, who held a special place in Kelly’s heart; parents, Wayne and Donna Mahan of Jonesboro; brothers, Michael Mahan (Alesha) of Jonesboro and Anthony Mahan (Stefanie) of Jonesboro; special aunts, Karen Tate (Brett) and Kathy McLaughlin (Johnny); uncle, Richard Ivy; dear cousins, Brittney Finley, Brandy Wilson, and Rodney Courville; and special nieces and nephew, Brylee Finley, Adalinn Mahan, and Miles Mahan.

A visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 3, 2022 from 5:00 -7:00 p.m. at Emerson Funeral Home.

Burial will be private.
